The free tier is supported by ads. A premium tier is available for advanced features. We provide the service as-is — we're not liable for connection data inaccuracies or any losses arising from your use of it. We can terminate accounts that violate these terms.
By accessing or using Monitor My Connection at monitormyconnection.com (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms") and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.
These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User," "you," or "your") and Monitor My Connection ("we," "us," or "our"). Your continued use of the Service after any changes to these Terms constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

Monitor My Connection is a web-based internet connectivity monitoring tool that allows users to:
The Service operates primarily client-side within your browser. Connectivity checks are performed by making outbound requests to public endpoints. The accuracy of connection status depends on factors outside our control, including your network environment, browser configuration, and the availability of ping targets.
Important: Monitor My Connection is a diagnostic and logging tool. It is not a substitute for official ISP support, network engineering tools, or legal evidence collection services. Connection logs generated by this Service may not be accepted as legal proof of outages in all jurisdictions.
You must be at least 13 years of age (or 16 in the European Union) to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement. If you are under the required age, you must not use the Service.
The Service is available globally. However, it is your responsibility to ensure that your use of the Service complies with the laws and regulations of your local jurisdiction. We make no representations that the Service is appropriate or available in all locations.
The Service is offered under a freemium model with the following tiers:
The free tier is supported by advertisements served by Google AdSense. By using the free tier, you agree to the display of advertisements on the Service. Ad personalization is subject to your cookie consent choices. You may not use ad-blocking software that interferes with the Service's layout or functionality while using the free tier.
Premium subscriptions are billed on a recurring monthly or annual basis at the rates listed on our pricing page at the time of purchase. By subscribing to a premium plan, you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel. You may cancel your subscription at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period and no refunds are issued for partial periods unless required by applicable law.
We may offer free trials of premium features from time to time. Unless you cancel before the trial ends, your subscription will automatically convert to a paid plan at the applicable rate.
We reserve the right to change subscription prices at any time. We will give you at least 30 days' notice of any price increase before it affects your subscription.

You retain full ownership of the connectivity data generated by your use of the Service. We do not claim any ownership rights over your connection logs, latency measurements, or exported reports.
By default, all monitoring data is stored locally in your browser's localStorage. This data is under your control. Clearing your browser data or uninstalling the app will permanently delete locally stored data. We are not responsible for data loss resulting from browser clearing, device failure, or other causes beyond our control.
Premium users may enable cloud storage of their connectivity data. By enabling this feature, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to store, process, and display your data solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you. We do not use your connectivity data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose other than delivering the Service.
When you use the share report feature, you are responsible for the contents of the reports you share. We are not responsible for how recipients use shared report data. Do not share reports that contain sensitive personal information about third parties without their consent.
Connectivity reports generated by the Service are based on measurements taken by your browser. They reflect the results of outbound pings to external servers and may be affected by browser throttling, background tab behavior, local network conditions, VPN usage, and other factors. We make no warranty that reports are accurate, complete, or suitable for any particular purpose including legal proceedings or ISP disputes.
The Service, including its design, code, branding, logos, text, and all other content created by Monitor My Connection, is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. All rights are reserved.
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms. This license does not include the right to reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works of, publicly display, or commercially exploit any part of the Service.
The Monitor My Connection name, logo, and domain are trademarks of Monitor My Connection. You may not use them without our prior written consent.
The free tier of the Service is funded by advertisements provided by Google AdSense and potentially other advertising networks in the future. By using the free tier, you acknowledge and agree to the following:
Advertisements may be displayed on any page of the Service. The placement, frequency, and content of ads are determined by our advertising partners and may vary. We do not endorse any products or services advertised on the Service.
Ad personalization is subject to the cookie consent choices you make via our consent banner. If you decline advertising cookies, you will see non-personalized ads instead. You can manage ad preferences at any time via your Google Ad Settings.
Premium subscribers receive an ad-free experience. If you are a premium subscriber and ads are displaying, please contact us so we can investigate.
We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or practices of third-party advertisers. Clicking on advertisements may direct you to third-party websites governed by their own terms and privacy policies.
The Service integrates with and relies upon third-party services including Google Analytics, Google AdSense, ipinfo.io, and AWS. Your use of these third-party services is subject to their respective terms of service and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices of any third-party service providers.

The ping endpoints used by the monitoring tool (such as Google's DNS servers and Cloudflare's DNS) are operated by third parties. Their availability is not guaranteed by us. If a ping target becomes unavailable, the Service will attempt to use alternative endpoints.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we disclaim all warranties, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
Specifically, we do not warrant that:
Internet connectivity monitoring inherently involves limitations. False positives (reporting an outage when connection exists) and false negatives (failing to detect an outage) are possible. You should not rely solely on the Service for mission-critical connectivity monitoring.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Monitor My Connection and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from or related to your use of the Service, including but not limited to:
Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of the Service shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months prior to the claim, or (b) USD $10.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or limitation of liability. In such jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, for any reason including but not limited to violation of these Terms, fraudulent activity, or abuse of the Service.
You may stop using the Service at any time. Premium subscribers may cancel their subscription through their account settings. Upon termination of a premium subscription, access to premium features will continue until the end of the current billing period.
Upon termination, your locally stored data remains in your browser until you clear it. Cloud-stored data (premium users) will be retained for 30 days following termination, after which it will be permanently deleted. You may request earlier deletion by contacting us at info@monitormyconnection.com.
Sections 7 (User Data), 8 (Intellectual Property), 11 (Disclaimers), 12 (Limitation of Liability), 13 (Indemnification), and 16 (Governing Law) survive termination of these Terms.
We may update these Terms at any time. When we do, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page and, for material changes, display a prominent notice on the Service. We encourage you to review these Terms periodically.
Material changes include modifications to payment terms, liability limitations, dispute resolution procedures, or your core rights as a user. For non-material changes (such as clarifications or formatting), we will update the Terms without separate notice beyond the date change.
Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree to updated Terms, you must stop using the Service.
